Users in Britain first reported the problem, before those in Australia and New Zealand began experiencing the same issue.

‘App crashes the second I open it in Melbourne,’ one posted on Aussie Outages, while another said: ‘Not working for me either. Perth.’

‘Snapchat keeps crashing upon opening or after two seconds. Is there a time line to fix? [It’s the] only form of communication with some people,’ another wrote.

Snapchat has not said when it expects this issue to be resolved.
