When it comes to capturing the perfect wildlife shot, often timing is everything.

For these amateur photographers, their unpredictable subjects meant their images didn’t quite turn out the way they expected.

People from around the world have taken to social media to share their unfortunate attempts at capturing a magnificent shot of nature.

A selection have found their way onto the Facebook group C**p Wildlife Photography, with some of the very best – or worst depending on how you look at it – being collated by Bored Panda. 

The amusing images range from a photobombing fish swimming in front of the lens just as the person behind the camera tried to capture an image of a shark, to an angry swan switching into attack mode.
