A bride has baffled the internet with her extremely detailed wedding invitation  – which even outlines the four types of cookies she will serve at the reception.

The invitation, which was posted to the That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming Facebook group, begins with the woman, thought to be American, saying she was sorry for taking ‘so long’ to send out the details.

But after laying out all the particulars of her upcoming nuptials, she launches into a bizarrely detailed two-page letter, even revealing that the ceremony will be filmed for a ‘Facebook live’ – for those unable to attend.

Before signing off, the woman describes her wedding dress as ‘blush pink with rose gold detailing’, warning that guests should not wear a ‘champagne colour or pink of any kind’ to the ceremony.

In the bizarre invite, the bride explains that her wedding reception will serve ‘four types of cookies’ – ginger snap, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and peanut butter.

She then goes on to outline the two varieties of milk which be available on the day ‘for dunking’, including an almond milk which ‘will be unsweetened vanilla since cookies are sweet enough’.

‘We will have both cupcakes and regular cake for wedding cake. The main intention was easy portion for children but all are welcome.

‘We will also have regular and almond milk for dunking. Almond milk will be unsweetened vanilla since cookies are sweet enough.’

The bride-to-be then asks her guests to ‘please eat something before arriving’ because the small reception will not have ‘a lot of food’.

And before signing off the bizarrely detailed invitation, she tells potential attendees that they ‘can not stay for the reception’ if they do not respond to the RSVP.

The bride even warns that any guests who turn up unannounced will be asked to leave.

She wrote: ‘If you do not respond to the RSVP email found on the back of the invite we will not have a chair for you at the ceremony and you can not stay for the reception.

‘My MC will ask you to leave so please RSVP by March 10. Still RSVP even if you have told me in person yes or no, I will only stand by what I receive in email. No surprise show ups are welcome’.
