Social media users left stunned by ‘mental’ hotel job advert that they brand ‘dystopian’

Twitter users have been left stunned after a ‘mental’ hotel job advert went viral online for it’s bizarre requests.

Toby Millard, 23, from Glasgow, shared the odd job advert on Twitter and has since received over 9,000 likes.

The posting, which is by Hotel Radisson Red in Glasgow’s trendy Finneston area, asks for ‘creatives’ rather than staff, and ‘demands’ them to be ‘a little bit mischievous.’

Rather than a traditional CV or application form, the posting finishes by asking potential ‘creatives’ to send a selfie or link to their Instagram page to apply.

Toby Millard, who discovered the job posting, called the advert ‘mental’ and ‘a dystopian masterpiece’

The posting, which was uploaded 10 days ago onto a job site, said it was looking for an ‘F&D Creative’.

The ad started off: ‘We connect with that ageless millennial mindset and believe that hotels can enhance their world via art, music, fashion and distinctive connection.’

It continued: ‘Radisson RED sees things differently. We don’t have ‘staff’ we have ‘Creatives’.’

It went on: ‘Throughout the hotel you make it clean, cook on the stoves, serve the coffees, shake the cocktails, book tours, make reservations and check guests.’

They went on: ‘Upon opening the Radisson RED Glasgow, our recruitment drive was focused around taking an innovative and unique approach. We like to bring fun to our adverts to attract the kind of team we know will be happy and successful working at a Radisson RED property.

‘The advert in question reflects the fact that we aspire for Radisson RED, like its staff, to be bold and innovative. This does not detract from a total commitment to providing quality training and career progression.’
