Sons Of Anarchy star David Labrava says he’s ‘broken’ after 16-year-old son Tycho takes his own life

Sons Of Anarchy star David Labrava has revealed his 16-year-old son Tycho killed himself this week.

The actor, 55, posted several pictures of himself with his son to Instagram Thursday along with a heartbreaking message.  

‘Never in a million tears would I think I would be posting this,’ Labrava wrote. ‘This is my boy Tycho. He took his life a couple of days ago at 16 years old.’

He went on: ‘He suffered from a depression we couldnt see because he was a happy young kid. Communicate with your loved ones, there might not be any signs. Cherish them. I am broken.’

In photos Labrava shared online, he’s seen with his young son on the set of the FX series on which he starred as Happy Lowman, the Sergeant-At-Arms of the show’s titular motorcycle club from 2008 to 2014.

There are also pics of him with Tycho at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.

He also shared a link to a GoFundMe page set up in Tycho’s memory with all proceeds going to ‘a depression and bipolar organization’, per the teen’s last wish.

The page also has a photo of the young man paddleboarding on the ocean with mountains as a backdrop.

The FlyHighTycho page states:  ‘On May 5th, 2018 Tycho Spelis Chiusano decided to end his life. He was 16 years old. He quietly suffered from depression for years and didn’t know how to ask for help.’

‘An amazing and beautiful soul, Tycho was extremely intelligent, athletic, loyal, and a sensitive friend. He was full of life, constantly smiling, and had a knack for making others laugh. Tycho loved his family and friends. This is how we will forever remember him!’

The statement ended with an exhortation to ‘always be kind and have compassion for others. Never spread rumors and learn to communicate with each other.’

Labrava, who was born in Miami, is a motorcycle enthusiast and Harley Davidson mechanic who was  hired as a technical advisor for Sons Of Anarchy and was then cast in the role of Happy. 

He published his autobiography Becoming a Son in 2015.

He also is a tattoo artist and owns a tattoo shop in Northern California’s Bay Area.
