Sophie Monk and her fiancé Joshua Gross are dramatically rescued from the ocean alongside their new puppy Bluey – after a romantic boat trip took an unexpected turn
Sophie Monk, her fiancé Joshua Gross and their new puppy Bluey endured quite the adventure on Tuesday, after running out of fuel while onboard his boat in the Central Coast.
The Love Island Australia host, 41, revealed the couple had to be carted back to dry land by Marine Rescue NSW after making the error during a romantic boat ride.
Sophie documented the journey on her Instagram page, writing: ‘Joshua took me out on his boat… started out well!’

‘Had time for an Insta pic,’ she added, while posing in a blue skirt and white vest onboard the vessel.
But shortly after, the pair realised they had forgotten to get fuel – with Sophie sharing footage of the rescue team pulling up next to their boat to deliver them to shore.
‘How’s it going, babe?’ Sophie asked her husband-to-be, who sheepishly replied: ‘Living the dream!’
Sophie then shared footage of little Bluey sat on her lap as they sat in the rescue boat, with a gentleman heard saying: ‘Bluey! First marine rescue. Well done buddy. Let’s get our life jackets on!’

The rescue mission comes just over a week after Sophie and Josh announced the arrival of their new puppy.
Joshua took to Instagram on December 12 to share a portrait photo of Sophie posing with the cute white-coloured pooch.
‘New addition to the family, Bluey,’ Joshua captioned the photo.

The businessman later shared a clip of the happy puppy running around their home.
Reposting the clip to her own Instagram Stories, a smitten Sophie wrote: ‘I’m so in love.’
Sophie and Joshua became engaged in December but waited to announce their news until January.
The couple met in August 2018, they were seated together on a flight and even shared a kiss during the long haul trip.
In July, Sophie lifted the lid on her baby plans, telling The Sunday Telegraph: ‘We would love a family if we are lucky enough.
‘You just never know but we would love to,’ the Love Island Australia host continued.
