Sophie Monk breaks down in tears on The Bachelorette

She’s on a mission to find love on The Bachelorette.

And on Wednesday’s show, it seems things got a little bit too much for Sophie Monk. 

The 37-year-old burst into tears during the rose ceremony and ‘ugly cried’, as she felt bad having to send home four contestants.

When she had to just one rose to hand out, Sophie said she needed ‘one second’ to compose herself.

Running out of the room, she was comforted by host Osher Gunsberg as she sobbed.

‘I’ve got to send four people home. This is the hardest thing ever,’ Sophie said.

‘It’s so mean.’

She asked Osher what she would tell the contestants when she re-entered the room. 

‘Do I just say I had something in my eye?’

‘That’s so lame,’ she finished.

Harry took the rejection well, and said in front of the boys to Sophie: ‘These group of guys here have become my friends in the last three weeks.’

‘And I honestly believe that someone here, you will fall in love with ’cause I have. And you’re amazing.’ 

Sophie joked on Instagram on Wednesday that she is an ‘ugly crier’ as she teased the episode to fans.
