Sophie Monk is mobbed by fans while out at lunch

She made herself Australia’s woman of the moment by appearing on the latest season of The Bachelorette.

But you would have thought Sophie Monk had appeared in a Hollywood blockbuster the way fans were asking for a photo with her on Saturday.

Gearing up for a relaxing seafood lunch followed by a visit to one of her beau’s family-owned pubs, the 37-year-old was stopped by locals on the NSW Central Coast who appeared to be very excited to see her.

Hollywood calling! Sophie Monk is mobbed by fans while on a romantic seafood lunch date with boyfriend Stu Laundy amid rumours he is jealous of her star profile

Wearing a black singlet dress and strappy heels for the mid-afternoon outing, Sophie smiled brightly alongside a red-headed woman who had asked her friend with dreadlocks to take a quick snap.

The reality TV starlet also engaged in a conversation with a woman who could have been her doppleganger: blonde hair, a golden tan and smoking a cigarette alongside her millionaire publican boyfriend.

They seemingly exchanged phones for a moment, possibly as Sophie was being shown something.

As Sophie and Stu entered The Long Jetty Hotel, which is owned by the 45-year-old’s family, two workers approached the blonde bombshell for a chat.

Before long they were taking photos together, clearly fans of the former Bardot singer.

Stu eventually joined the group and while Sophie looked up at him with eyes shining, the female worker was still paying attention to his girlfriend.

For the remainder of the afternoon a number of passerbys noticed the down-to-earth star outside the pub, pausing to engage her in conversation.

Meanwhile Stu was left to drink a beer and watch on as the fanfare became more and more obvious.

One woman even leans in for a token hi-five gesture.

The affectionate afternoon picture session comes as Woman’s Day claimed Sophie’s profile made Stu ‘jealous’ and damaged his ego, causing them to split.

‘There were definitely jealousy issues over all the attention Sophie was getting,’ the source reportedly said.

‘Stu couldn’t cope with the fact no one was really interested in him. He felt he was constantly fighting to even get a word in, because all the attention was on Sophie. He found it a big blow to his ego.

The source continued: ‘You have to remember, Stu is from one of the wealthiest families in Australia and he’s used to being the centre of attention.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Sophie and Stu for comment.

The report further alleged that Sophie and Stu signed a contract, requiring them to stay together for a period of three to six months after the airing of The Bachelorette finale on October 26.
