Police say a public safety specialist at a Southern California college has been stabbed to death and the suspect was fatally shot by police.
Pomona Police Chief Michael Olivieri initially wrote on Twitter that a police parking officer was killed Friday at Cal Poly Pomona.
The chief said that police do not believe there are any additional suspects but officers were conducting a search as a precaution.

According to local broadcaster KABC, police received a report of a possible stabbing attack at the school campus at around 4.25pm Friday afternoon.
Shortly after arriving to the scene of the incident, authorities encountered a suspect, leading to an officer involved shooting.
A spokeswoman for the college said it was an ‘active, on-going investigation’ but that police had determined there is was no additional threat to the campus.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide detectives were headed to the scene.
Lt. John Corina later stated during a press conference that the victim was a Cal Poly Pomona public safety specialist who was found stabbed to death in the driver’s seat of a truck.
No officers were injured during the incident.
