Spain and Croatia top the list as the best value all-inclusive destinations for 2020

All inclusive holidays are becoming increasingly popular, with a 28 per cent increase of families searching for the packages this year compared to last year, new data has revealed.

This means a massive 55 per cent of seven-night summer holiday searches for families are now for all-inclusive trips, according to travel comparison site, Travel Supermarket.

It found that the most popular destinations for 2020 are based in Europe with a couple of other more exotic locations also featuring.

Spain, Croatia and the Canary Islands feature highly in the destinations that Britons are expected to jet off to this year.

Costa Brava was found to be the best value destination for all inclusive holidays this summer

To find out the most popular locations, TravelSupermarket analysed its own data, looking at millions of all-inclusive package holiday searches across the market.

The research was based on all price searches made via TravelSupermarket between 18 November and 23 December 2019 for summer holidays.

It found that not only did families prefer all inclusive trips but also 36 per cent of couples searched for all-inclusive trips.

Emma Coulthurst, travel commentator from Travelsupermarket, said: ‘Holidays are important to Britons but keeping within a budget is really important to them. Volatile euro exchange rates over the last few years have also been drawing people to all-inclusive.

‘Sterling has been strengthening recently against the euro and other currencies but holidaymakers are still showing that knowing how much the majority of the holiday is going to cost up front is really important to them.

‘The only spending money they then need to factor in on top is for souvenirs, additional drinks, day trips and any meals out. All-inclusive takes away the hassle of having to choose where to eat and the worry of how much it is going to cost.

‘Holidaymakers, especially families, love not having to venture far and having the basics that they need close by and already budgeted for’.

This is Money, with help from Travel Supermarket, can reveal the top ten best value all inclusive destinations for this summer.
