The morning papers in Spain have reacted with fear after seeing world champions France overturn a two-goal deficit on Thursday night to reach the UEFA Nations League final.

Les Bleus looked in deep trouble in their semi-final against Belgium after going behind to goals from Yannick Carrasco and Romelu Lukaku. 

But France came roaring back through Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe, before Theo Hernandez’s terrific stoppage-time winner and AS described the French firepower as ‘scary’ ahead of their final clash against Spain on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Marca focused on Mbappe’s tumultuous few months with the France national team after he played a starring role on Thursday. 

The PSG man missed the vital penalty in France’s shock last-16 loss to Switzerland in the summer and underperformed throughout Euro 2020. 

France head coach Didier Deschamps hailed Mbappe for putting his European Championship woes behind him.

‘Kylian didn’t have any doubts,’ said Deschamps after the match. ‘He was determined after lacking efficiency at the Euros.

‘Like I always said, the French team is better with than without Kylian Mbappe.

‘We were knocked out by Switzerland (at Euro 2020) but the France national team is still here. We’re still among the best teams.’
