This is the painful moment a young man falls headfirst into a bin during a wild night out in Spain.
Footage shows the youngster balancing on top of a wheelie bin in Bilbao, northern Spain, before trying to jump a short distance to a smaller bin below.
But after taking careful aim and gingerly outstretching his leg he tumbles forward, missing his target entirely and smashing his torso into the bin.
The video begins with the man trying to jump across some wheelie bins lined up by the side of a road which appears to run underneath a bridge.
He braces his arms as if he is about to use their momentum to leap forwards, but ends up abandoning the plan mid-flight.
Instead, he inelegantly stretches them out in front of him and clambers onto the neighbouring bin.
Stumbling to his feet, he hunches over tentatively before attempting his next jump.
But he ends up plunging into the bin, which makes a deafening noise as he smashes against it.

The young man, wearing a bright purple hoodie, can then be seen clutching his ribs as his friends laugh.
One rushes over to see if he is okay – fortunately he was not seriously injured.
It is not clear whether he was under the influence of alcohol when he decided to attempt the maneuver.

As the young man limbers up for his second jump, his friends can be heard giving him tips in Spanish about how to approach the challenge.
