Speed camera operator’s Toyota Hilux ends up bogged

  • A speed camera operator has become bogged down in a corner while on duty
  • The white vehicle was also snapped balancing on two wheels on Baldivis Road
  • People have taken to Facebook to point out the hypocrisy, calling it a ‘miracle’
  • Many considered it ‘karma’ that the speed camera operator had gotten stuck

As a part of Operation Safe Arrival, almost 400 patrol vehicles are out on the roads in a bid to keep drivers safe this holiday season.

But one speed camera operator in Western Australia isn’t having a very merry Christmas, as he managed to maroon his white Hilux while choosing a spot to lie in wait for cars driving over the limit.

The driver backed his car into a dusty nook on the corner of Baldivis Road, before realising that the vehicle was completely bogged, according to WA Today.

The white four-wheel drive as also snapped balancing on two wheels in some long grass beside the road at around 4.30pm on Saturday.

Images of the car were quickly uploaded to social media, with more than 400 people gleefully sharing their thoughts regarding the unlucky operator.

‘Surely this has got to fall under some dangerous driving [or] hoon offence?’ wrote one person under the image.

Pointing out the irony that a patrol car was the one that appeared to be breaking the law, he added: ‘Pretty sure there’s no reasonable excuse for your car doing a wheelie.’

The car was also snapped taking a corner so quickly that it was balancing on just two wheels

Many more considered it ‘karma’ that the driver had gotten stuck while attempting to sneakily photograph other drivers for revenue.

‘Hope nobody pulled em out!’ commented one person, while another added that they now believe in Christmas miracles.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted WA Police for comment.
