Squid Game star Jung Ho-yeon sparked concern from fans over her weight last week, after sharing a string of new photos to her Instagram page.

The South Korean model and actress, 27, posed in a number of ensembles in a post shared on Friday, with fans saying that one shot in particular of her in a floor-length gown left them ‘worried’ about her health.

‘I don’t want to come off negative at all, just want to say that seeing you in the black dress made me a bit worried,’ one fan commented on the image, which was taken prior to Ho-yeon arriving at the 2021 LACMA Art & Film Gala on November 6, 2021.

‘You’re really beautiful but I got worried about the one in the black dress – are you okay or eating well take care of yourself, you and your health come first,’ another added.

According to her model profile The Straits Times reports that Ho Yeon, who played North Korean defector Kang Sae Byeok aka Player 067 in Squid Games, is 1.79m tall and weighs 49kg.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on December 4, Ho-yeon herself confirmed she’d lost weight following the success of the show – which broke a new record for the most watched show on Netflix.

‘I lost 6 pounds [close to 3kg] in a week when it became successful,’ she said. ‘I couldn’t eat — it wasn’t stress, I just didn’t know this feeling. I was kind of losing myself.’

In a later interview with Star News, via AllKpop, she revealed she ‘didn’t have time to eat’ after moving to the US in recent weeks.
