Stacey Solomon blocks fiancé Joe Swash on Instagram

Stacey Solomon blocked her fiancé Joe Swash on Instagram on Thursday so she didn’t ruin his 40th birthday surprise.

The TV personality, 32, is preparing a huge room makeover for Joe to mark his milestone birthday, but doesn’t want him peeking at the progress on her social media.

Stacey is calling the room she is renovating the ‘Cluedo Room’ due to the wooden panels on the walls, but is keeping it all a secret from her beau.  

The beauty has spent weeks preparing a huge home makeover for him and is planning a big reveal this weekend. 

The family’s huge country mansion – named Pickle cottage – has been undergoing constant renovation since they moved in, back in March 2021.

Joe and Stacey share baby daughter Rose and two-year-old Rex – and both of Stacey’s sons from previous relationships, Zach and Leighton, live with them too.

Joe also has a son called Harry who splits his time between Pickle Cottage and his mother’s home.

Stacey has transformed the old-fashioned space, turning into a modern games room and man-cave for birthday boy Joe.

The wood panels have been painted blue, and the star has also installed an area for darts, a huge pool table, and plenty of gadgets to keep Joe entertained.

The original plan was to show Joe the room on his birthday but due to the kids’ plans they had to delay it.

Stacey wrote on Instagram: ‘Soo many lovely messages for Joes birthday and loads of you asking to see his reaction to the Cluedo Room but we are going to have to wait until the weekend now.’

The star explained: ‘Not all of our pickles can get back here after school now and none of us want to show him without one of the boys, they’re all so excited so we will wait until we get them all on the weekend.

‘Blended families ey! But it’s worth it for the extra love’.

It comes after earlier this week Stacey took to Instagram to reveal she had adopted a new puppy called Teddy. 

It comes just weeks after the media personality revealed her beloved pooch Theo died on December 28. 

But her most recent social media post shows her in better spirits as she shared a slew of snaps of Teddy fitting in with the family at Pickle Cottage.  

The puppy, who appears to be a red Cocker Spaniel, looked as if he had settled in very nicely as he cuddled up to her youngest son Rex.

She also shared a snap of her holding Teddy and their current dog Peanut, a dachshund, in her arms.  

Stacey became emotional in the caption alongside the snap, as she wrote about how the new dog has ‘rescued her.’ 

She penned: ‘Welcome Home Teddy. Last night we rescued a dog. But today I’m not sure who has rescued who. We miss you so much Theo. 

The big reveal: Stacey also took to her Instagram Story the night before to share that she was putting some finishing touches to the room

‘I hope you’re looking down from heaven smiling, knowing that peanut will no longer be so very lonely and that a doggy who really needed a family now has one. To the moon and back, always.’  

Over on her Instagram stories, she explained the process of getting the new pet, writing: ‘So we ended up bringing the little doggy home last night. We couldn’t leave without him. He’s so lovely… 

‘He was bred by somebody who was breeding dogs for sale and he wasn’t good enough for sale so they got rid of him… 

Celebrations: She also gave a glimpse of his blue 40 birthday balloons on her Instagram Story

‘When we learned about him and then saw Peanuts reaction to him there was doubt in out mind that he was coming home.’ 

She went on: ‘I didn’t know we would be able to bring him home straight away so we were a little unprepared. We’ve spent last night and today settling him in and getting him all sorted.’ 

Stacey revealed last month that her dog Theo had died on Boxing Day.
