Stan release all episodes of gritty teenage drama Bad Behaviour

Stan Original series Bad Behaviour delves into the uncomfortable truth about teenage bullying and the scars it brings right into adulthood. 

Based on the acclaimed book of the same name by Aussie writer Rebecca Starford, the much-anticipated show unravels some uncomfortable teenage truths. 

The four part series – all of which are now available to watch on Stan – showcases the unrelenting struggle many teenage girls face – either bully or be bullied. 

Viewers are first introduced to the protagonist Jo Mackenzie (played by Jana McKinnon) when she is 25-years-old. 

She bumps into her old school friend Alice Kang (Yerin Ha) and memories of the brutal year they spent together at Silver Creek – the wilderness campus of an exclusive boarding school – come flooding back.

The trailer for the series shows an adult Jo thinking back to her teenage years at the boarding school. 

 ‘Your year here, it will change your life,’ a young Jo is told by her new principal, and while it did change her life, it certainly wasn’t for the better. 

A gloomy and creepy cabin where the young girls all sleep together in the woods is then shown. 

 ‘Where do you sleep?’ Jo’s mother asks a teacher as she shows her around the girls cabin, before she replies that they sleep ‘down the road’ away from the teenagers.

It was here that the relentless bullying took place – with one of Jo’s friends telling her the darkness of Silver Creek was ‘the whole point’ of it.  

Directed by Corrie Chen, written by Pip Karmel and produced by Amanda Higgs, the Stan original series mimics its mainly female cast with an all-female creative team. 

It also features an ensemble cast including Erana James,  Tuuli Narkle. Dan Spielman. Diana Glenn, Mantshologane Maile, and newcomers Melissa Kahraman, Daya Czepanski, Bronte Locke, Abbey Morgan, Malaynee Hayden and Jessica Lu. 

Bad Behaviour is currently streaming on Stan.
