Stan Walker energetically performs in New Zealand

His management admitted the former Australian Idol star was suffering from an ‘undisclosed health issue’ when pictures of him surfaced looking slimmer than usual.

But you wouldn’t have guessed anything was wrong on Tuesday when Stan Walker took to the stage in Auckland, New Zealand, to celebrate the country’s Waitangi Day.

The 27-year-old looked vibrant and energetic as he performed for fans at Hoani Waititi Marae, belting out some of his famous tunes in honour of the national holiday.

But despite his upbeat presentation, Stan was in a more reflective mood on Sunday when he paid tribute to his cousin, who is battling cancer.

He shared a photo of the pair on Instagram and added a lengthy caption to honour his relative.

On Thursday, Stan announced on social media that he ‘can’t eat chocolate anymore’, prompting fans to question the reason why.

The condition has reportedly taken the lives of more than 25 of his family members.

It’s not known whether this is the ‘health concern’ his artist management team have recently been referring to.

‘He has had some challenges health-wise, but he will be back and working towards a new single release in March,’ Stan’s management previously told Newshub.
