John Boyega has shared a heart-warming video of the moment he told his parents he had bought them a house.
The Star Wars actor, 27, left fans in tears on Tuesday when he uploaded a wonderful video of himself breaking the news to his parents Abigail and Samson Adegboyega.
The Peckham born star took to Instagram to share a throwback clip from the special day, captioned: ‘A few years ago this happened! Moments like these make all the hard work worth it.’

John is seen walking around the private garden in the London property at the start of the video, giving a guided tour to the modern abode.
He reveals: ‘I just bought my mum and dad a house. I’ve always wanted to do that’.
His parents are seen pulling up to the property in a car with their family, under the pretense of filming an interview about John in the super sleek property.
John previously confessed his mum was already in the know, putting on an ‘Oscar-winning performance’ when they surprised his dad with the news.
The kind-hearted actor makes sure his loved ones are seated comfortable in the first floor living area, complete with open plan dining and floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

He joked with his dad Samson, a Pentecostal minister, about being his favourite son as he takes pride of place in the room.
John then smoothly segues into the big surprise, saying: ‘On behalf of myself, I’d like to say thank you for everything that you’ve done.
‘I decided to do a secret project for a few months, and I’m here to tell you that there was no interview, that was a lie, this is your house that I am presenting to you.
‘This is your new house. it belongs to you, I wanted to present it to you today.’

He told them: ‘I just thought it’s best that you live in an environment and a place where you’re happy’
His poor dad looks overwhelmed by the news, simply replying, ‘Huh?’
‘Dad, this is your house! Mum, this is your house!’, John’s relatives chime in.
‘John, is this true?’, his awestruck dad asks, completely incredulous.
John said: ‘We’ve been planning it for four, five months. It’s not bad, a small token, but I just thought it’s best that you live in an environment and a place where you’re happy.
John told his shocked parents: ‘This is your new house. it belongs to you, I wanted to present it to you today.’

‘And you have space and privacy. Congratulations, mum and dad.’
His emotional parents are then seen wiping tears from their eyes as John wraps them up in a hug.
The spiritual star continued: ‘It’s your prayers that got this. Because the skill and the ability that I have received has been from your prayers. I cannot ignore what God has used my parents to do my life.
‘Honestly from the bottom of my heart, thank you so, so much for everything you have done.’

John previously talked about the surprise during an 2018 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
He admitted he had to tell his mum before they arrived at the venue – in case one of his parents had a heart attack.
‘My mum knew about it, she knew I got the house, I just needed one of them to know so that if one of them had a heart attack, the other can take them to the hospital’, he joked.
‘Mum is the backbone of the family, she’s queen. She done [sic] the most Oscar winning performance when he found out.’
