Starbucks barista reveals customer’s most sugaryorders

At Starbucks, the coffee combinations and customization options are endless — but not every order is created equal, as one former barista knows all too well.

Podcast host and ex-Starbucks barista Terence Wiggins has experienced quite a few customers who get carried away. He recently took to Tumblr to share his collection of bizarre orders, which he documented with a series of cell phone pictures.

The results are stomach-churning, featuring sugar-loaded drinks with up to 14 heart-racing shots of espresso, 20 pumps of syrup, and 15 packets of Splenda.

Another coffee order was for black coffee with 20 pumps of syrup — literally thick sugar water — as well as cream.

Terence helped more than his shared of customers with severe sweet tooths. One asked for a grande iced coffee with 15 packets of Splenda, while another bought a caramel Frappuccino pumped with 16 shots of caramel flavoring.

While many of Terence’s most memorable drinks featured exorbitant amounts of sugar, some merely had odd, unappetizing twists on standard drinks.

One customer asked for a venti Frappuccino with a hilariously extensive list of extras, including double the espresso shots, a dash of mocha, soy milk, whipped cream, and added banana and strawberry in the mix.

One customer asked for six shots in their drink with 4 dashes of mocha, 12packets of raw sugar, and espresso-flavored whipped cream for a frighteningly calorific drink.

Other bizarre orders include simple coffees with extra cream and 12 sugar packets, and black teas with 18 sticky syrup pumps.

Despite the staggering number of calories and grams of sugar already packed into conventional Starbucks drinks, it seems that their sweet sides of flavored syrups, whipped cream, and extra sugar are must-haves for certain customers ready to take their saccharine obsession to the next level.
