Former Today show weatherman Steve Jacobs split from his wife Rosie within a year of the couple relocating to Vanuatu with their daughters in early 2017.
And on Tuesday, Rosie announced she was returning Down Under as the estranged couple finalise their divorce.
Taking to Instagram, the 39-year-old mother-of-two wrote: ‘About to take the leap! Leaving the Pacific Islands to restart a life in Australia.’

Rosie insisted she ‘couldn’t be happier’ about her decision to move back to Australia, and hinted her daughters, aged seven and five, would be leaving Vanuatu with her.
‘My beautiful girls by my side,’ she added.
In March, a source close to the former couple told Confidential that they had ‘grown in different directions’ and split months after moving overseas.

‘They’ve grown in different directions and want different things in life now,’ a friend said.
‘Steve and Rosie had such a public image of the perfect happy family but behind the scenes there were struggles that would put a strain on even the best marriage.’
Rosie’s split with Steve came after she took out an ex parte AVO against her husband earlier this year which is no longer in place.

The pair had moved to Vanuatu in late 2016 for what friends say was a ‘last-ditch attempt’ to mend their eight-year marriage, but it was too late

They met on set of the Today show in 2007 and married in an intimate ceremony in Bali, Indonesia three years later.
It is unclear if Steve is remaining overseas or will return to live in Australia.
