Steve Jacobs’ ex-wife Rose looks completely unrecognisable today

TV presenter Rosie Jacobs has a new job and a new look almost three years after splitting from her ex-husband, former Today show weatherman Steve Jacobs, in late 2017.

The mother of two announced on Sunday that she had landed a corporate hosting gig with Adviser Ratings, a company that helps people find qualified financial advice.

She shared a photo to Instagram of herself presenting the Together Australia web series, and told her followers she was ‘beyond delighted’ to be in front of the camera again after a long hiatus.

‘And for some happy news,’ she wrote in the caption. ‘My new show has just launched! I’m beyond delighted to be behind this campaign that is helping all of us through tough times.’

Rosie looks very different these days compared to just a few years ago when she was married to Steve, the affable 53-year-old weather reporter who worked for Nine’s Today show from 2005 to 2019.

Perhaps the most notable change is her hairstyle: she has swapped her shoulder-length brunette hair for a short, boyish cut dyed bleach blonde.

While she cut her hair short a while ago, her decision to change colour appears to be a fairly recent one.

Rosie started her career as a television producer, but is perhaps best known for hosting a variety of shows on Nine, 10, Foxtel and The Weather Channel.

However, she has largely stayed away from the spotlight since being made redundant from Ten Eyewitness News (now 10 News First) in 2014.

Steve and Rosie, who share custody of daughters Isabella and Francesca, married in 2010, three years after meeting on set of the Today show – where he was a star weather presenter and she was a behind-the-scenes producer.

They separated in 2017, just a few months after relocating to Vanuatu in what friends described at the time as a ‘last-ditch attempt’ to save their seven-year marriage.

‘I think there were a few people who sensed something was up when they moved to Vanuatu,’ a friend told Daily Mail Australia in 2018.

‘The sea change was basically a last-ditch attempt to make things work, but it wasn’t to be unfortunately.’

Rosie decided to quit alcohol after splitting from Steve, admitting to friends she had a ‘strong dependency on drinking’, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Steve famously left the Today show in 2016 to work on his marriage, before returning to the network in 2017 as a weather presenter on Weekend Today.

He rejoined the main Today show for its 2019 relaunch, but was let go later in the year and replaced by Tim Davies.

In April, he joined Nine’s radio station Magic 1278, hosting a new breakfast program focusing on music from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
