Steve Jobs’ model daughter Eve, 23, is named a Tatler It Girl

Fashion month is a time when stars are made.

From runways and photo shoots to industry parties, there are plenty of opportunities for a young model to break out and catch the attention of the insiders who matter.

One of this year’s biggest breakout stories is Eve Jobs, the 23-year-old daughter of late Apple founder Steve and billionaire investor Laurene Powell Jobs, who was named one of the ‘new generation of IT girls’ by society bible Tatler’ after making her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week.

The willowy blonde, who is an accomplished equestrian, strutted her stuff alongside Gigi Hadid and Adut Akech at Coperni’s show on September 30, looking every inch the runway star in a flourescent green fitted top and thigh-skimming black mini skirt.

The following night she was off to the exclusive Vogue party at the Palais Gallerias, where she looked chic in a slinky black slip dress and a powder blue coat shrugged over her shoulders.

By her side was supermodel Naomi Campbell, a champion of emerging talent who appears to have taken Eve under her wing.

The pair were snapped with their arms around each other inside the event and held hands as they made their way through the throng of paparazzi waiting outside at the end of the night.

Naomi, 51, who recently welcomed her first child, also regularly comments on Eve’s Instagram posts.

The party in Paris continued with an invitation to Balmain’s 10th anniversary runway  extravaganza, where models including Milla Jovovich, Karen Elson and Carla Bruni walked and hitmaker Doja Cat performed.

Away from the shows, Eve found time to pose up a storm for Instagram snaps, in between meeting her equally glamorous friends for coffee.

Ooh-la-la! Eve Jobs’ whirlwind week at Paris Fashion Week

Eve is the youngest of Steve and Laurene’s three children together. The couple met at Stanford University in 1989 when Jobs gave a lecture at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where Laurene was a student.

Following their 1991 wedding, Steve and Laurene welcomed son Reed, 30, Erin, 26, and Eve. Steve also had daughter Lisa Brennan-Jobs, 43, from a previous relationship.

Eve was born in 1998, just a year after her father returned to Apple with a promise to revitalise the flagging company. By 2000 he was once again Apple’s CEO. Two years, when Eve was still a toddler, the first iPod was released.

Steve Jobs’s first cancer announcement came in August 2004, a month after Eve’s sixth birthday, when he revealed he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had undergone a surgery to remove the tumour.

In 2009 he took six months off work for a liver transplant as part of his cancer treatment. Two years later, when his youngest daughter was just 13, Steve lost his battle with the disease.

Jobs was worth $10.2 billion when he died, though the bulk of his money actually came from his stake in The Walt Disney Co. — not Apple.

Eve, an accomplished equestrian who has represented Team USA on the global stage, credits her parents and family with supporting her horse riding dreams.

After first sitting on a horse aged two, Eve, who grew up in California with her parents and older siblings, began riding at the age of six.

As a teenager she enrolled at Florida’s Upper Echelon Academy, the official academic sponsor of US Equestrian, which delivers curriculums based around the seasonal demands of the horse riding calendar.

The flexibility allowed her to pursue her athletic career alongside her academic studies.

The investment paid off. Eve is one of the best under-25 jumpers in the world and helped team USA win a bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Most recently she claimed second place in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Hamburg on what she described as the ‘best day’ of her career.

In recent years Eve – who counts Bill and Melinda Gates’s daughter Jennifer K. Gates and Jessica Springsteen, the Team USA equestrian daughter of Bruce among her friends – has juggled her equestrian commitments with her studies as a full-time undergraduate student at Stanford.

Now though, it seems a career in modelling might be on the cards for young Miss Jobs.

Eve made headlines this year when she landed her first major campaign: a beauty advert with global skincare brand Glossier.

In one photo, the blonde beauty is strategically covered with bubbles as she sips on a glass of wine in a large bathtub with glossy lips and wet hair. Even though she is in the tub, she is sporting plenty of gold jewelry, including a thick chain necklace, rings, and hoops in her ears.

Another shows her fiddling with the brand’s ‘G’ charm necklace while getting ready in her bathroom. Her blonde hair is dried and loose around her shoulders, but, like most women her age, she has a pink satin scrunchie around her wrist in case she wants to pull it up.

Eve took to Instagram last week to share the campaign photo of herself sipping wine. She also posted a picture of herself wearing under-eye masks and swiping Glossier lip gloss on her lips.

It is not known how much the deal would have brought in for the fresh-faced beauty, but she is no doubt thinking about planning for her financial future.

Aside from a sum that went to his oldest daughter Lisa on his death, the majority of Jobs’s fortune went to Laurene, who does not plan on passing it down to her children.

Powell Jobs, who has a net worth of $35.4 billion, told The New York Times earlier this year that the family’s fortune will end with her, saying there is ‘nothing fair’ about inherited wealth.

‘I inherited my wealth from my husband, who didn’t care about the accumulation of wealth,’ she said.

‘I am doing this in honor of his work, and I’ve dedicated my life to doing the very best I can to distribute it effectively, in ways that lift up individuals and communities in a sustainable way.

‘I’m not interested in legacy wealth buildings, and my children know that. Steve wasn’t interested in that. If I live long enough, it ends with me.’
