Stoke City have agreed a six month loan deal for Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo and have set their sights on Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis too.

The Championship side moved swiftly to fend off competition for Wales international winger Matondo, who took a flight from Dusseldorf to Manchester ahead of finalising terms.

Manager Michael O’Neill needs to bolster his attack following injuries to Tyrese Campbell and Steven Fletcher.

Former Manchester City winger Matondo, 20, who had interest from Brighton, Watford and Bournemouth. 

Davis, meanwhile, has made seven appearances this season and may find game time more restricted once Wesley Moraes recovers from his knee injury while Villa remain in the market for another attacking player.

Stoke are also considering Tottenham winger Jack Clarke as they push for promotion.
