Stormy Daniels vows to ‘happily’ testify under oath if Trump is impeached

Stormy Daniels has vowed to testify before Congress about the alleged hush money deal Donald Trump made with her if the president is to be impeached.

‘If Donald Trump has done things he shouldn’t have during his campaign he should be impeached,’ The porn star, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, told the Mirror: ‘If he has broken the law he should be arrested and treated like anyone else.’

Despite receiving death threats from Trump supporters directed at her and her seven-year-old daughter, the 39-year-old said she will ‘happily testify under oath and prove my story is true’.

Daniel’s statements come at the end of a tumultuous week for the president, after his former personal attorney Michael Cohen, 52, implicated Trump in the payment to Daniels and his former campaign manager Paul Manafort was indicted on eight felony counts including tax evasion and bank fraud.

‘I have always said that the truth is the most important thing and that is why I spoke out in the first place – so I can look my daughter in the eye and know I was honest. Now the truth is coming out and justice must be done,’ Daniels said.

Earlier this year Daniels claimed she was paid $130,000 in hush money weeks before the 2016 election, signing a non disclosure agreement – which she now says is invalid, for her silence on an alleged affair she had with a married Trump in 2006.

Tuesday, Michael Cohen admitted to a judge that he paid two women hush money ‘at the direction’ of Trump ‘for the purpose of influencing the election’ – a violation of campaign finance laws.

Trump denied ever knowing of the payment, a story that has been contested by even his own personal attorney Rudy Giuliani.

‘I will not be silenced, but being called a liar is the hardest part,’ Daniels said to the Mirror.

‘I am glad other people are now telling the truth. I am just fighting for the truth and I believe everyone should be treated equally.

‘Trump probably wishes he’d never met me, but a lot of men feel like that.’

Another woman, ex-playboy model Karen McDougal, 47, claims to have been paid $150,000 for her silence about a 10-month relationship she had with Trump in 2006 –  just months after wife Melania gave birth to their son Barron.

Other women claim to have had unwanted sexual encounters with a forceful Trump, to which Daniels said: ‘I have to be very clear, he DIDN’T do that to me, it was consensual.’

‘But if the allegations from other women are true he should be in jail,’ she added.

Daniels outspokenness against the president has come with a price.

She revealed that she and her daughter have faced death threats from Trump supporters.

In March, she was forced to hire two bodyguards due to the ever-growing messages that threatened to cut her throat and another to have her child euthenized.

Earlier this year, she revealed a man came up to her in a Las Vegas parking lot in 2011 and warned her about speaking out about the affair.

‘It’s horrible stuff,’ she said.
