Strong smell coming from Maroochydore unit on Sunshine Coast alerts neighbours to dead body

Horrified neighbours discover rotting body inside an apartment block after noticing a foul stench

An unappealing stench coming from an apartment block alerted neighbours to a dead body. 

Police were called to the Beach Prd unit in Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast about 8am on Tuesday. 

Neighbours reported a strong smell coming from one of the units and a dead body was found, The Courier Mail reported.

The unit’s door was left ajar and police believe the deceased individual had been dead for some time. 

Police spoke to neighbours asking if they had seen anything suspicious.
