And Stu Laundy, 44, recently opened up his life before filming, and eventually winning the reality dating show.
A week before the finale went to air, he revealed the reality of the loneliness he experienced like eating, sleeping and watching TV alone.

‘You’ve got to do your washing,’ he said ‘I don’t think I’ve ever done my washing before. I’m hopeless at that,’ he told AFR.
‘I had gone from having a partner for the best part of 20 years and having four kids that I could just grab and cuddle at any time in the day, to living in an apartment by myself and seeing the kids every second weekend,’ he added.
Household chores don’t seem to be one of Sophie’s strengths either after she revealed to The Daily Telegraph earlier in the year that she had her parents move in with her into her Gold Coast mansion.

‘I don’t want them to ever move out,’ she added, clearly enjoying spending quality time with her family.
The publican told the AFR that he stayed away from online dating in favour of meeting women in person until the chance opportunity to see Sophie again, following their failed first meeting a year ago.
‘I saw something in Soph. So I put myself through this, made myself look like maybe a moron out there to society, but I felt like there was a connection.’

Luckily Stu’s efforts to woo did not go to waste after she professed her love for him in the finale.
‘I feel like… we’re just soul mates. I came here for one reason, and I’ve found it. I’m in love with her,’ he said before she declared her love.
The father-of-four recently revealed to Popsugar he was relieved the show came to an end.
‘Even though I loved every bit of the experience, it was good for everyone in Australia to get some sort of result here,’ the winner said.
