Students drank so much air registered on breathalyser

A group of college students ended up drinking so much alcohol at a frat party that the air inside the house registered on a breathalyzer.

Around 70 people were at the ‘Tequila Tuesday’ party in an upscale neighborhood of Bethesda, Maryland before neighbors started calling the police.

When they began to breathalyze people, the air inside was so thick it registered at 0.01 on as police took out the breathalyzer.

Officers were called to the home after angry neighbors complained of late-night music disturbing them.

According to the New York Post, once at the party house, cops saw windows covered with insulation and trash bags, beer cans and liquor bottles all over the place.

The floor was sticky and appeared to be coated with alcohol.

Six alleged occupants of the home – Jeffrey Becker, Tristan Ralph, Ashton Acosta, Anthony Santana, Kevin Alkinburg and Matthew Berger — all 20, have been charged with 126 counts of allowing underage possession of alcohol and furnishing alcohol to a minor. They face fines of up to $315,000

A frat party at American University in Maryland was broken up on Tuesday night. The air inside the house, pictured, measured .01 on a breathalyzer before police began testing anyone

Court documents says eight students locked themselves in a bathroom and one person jumped out a second-story window to avoid being caught by police.

The group, members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, are all enrolled at the private American University.

The frat has been cited with three violations this school year but is still listed as having a good standing with AU.
