Studio 10: The Bachelor’s Matty Johnson confesses to getting Botox

Former Bachelor Matty Johnson has confessed to having had a little help achieving his good looks.

While filling in as co-host of Studio 10 on Tuesday, the 34-year-old admitted he’d had Botox injections in the past and was now considering more cosmetic procedures.

Matty made the revelation during a discussion with entertainment reporter Angela Bishop and co-anchor Sarah Harris, who was chatting to the pair over Zoom. 

‘Have you had a bit of a jab?’ Angela asked him.  

‘Do you know what, I’ll be honest. I have,’ the reality TV veteran responded.

Matty told Sarah and Angela his decision to get Botox came from a close friend who ‘worked in the industry’.

‘The story is a friend of mine worked in the industry – this was a few years ago,’ he began. 

‘We were are his house and having a few drinks and he looked at me and said, “I could just fix up that a little bit.” 

‘I was really happy with how I was looking, and he said, “Why don’t you come into the clinic and I’ll give you a few jabs.”‘ 

Matty then pointed to the sides of his face and explained he’d had Botox injected in the tops of his cheeks.

‘I don’t think it made any difference; it wore away,’ he continued. ‘I think it’s more of the placebo effect.’

Matty, who had plastic surgery in his late teens to fix his ‘jug ears’, told Angela he hadn’t had anymore Botox since then and was ‘all natural’. 

When asked if he had plans for further procedures, he jokingly replied: ‘I’m thinking about maybe having the lips done next. Just an idea.’

Angela then quipped: ‘Pillow lips Matty J. We look forward to it!’
