Contestants on The Block have transformed Melbourne’s notorious Gatwick Hotel in St Kilda into five luxury boutique apartments, which are set to go under the hammer in coming weeks.
Once a hotbed for drugs and crime, Melbourne ‘house of horrors’ has now been completely renovated into livable three bedroom two bathroom properties, and contestants listed them this week ahead of auction.
Prices are expected to fetch anywhere from $2.2 million and $2.7 million, nearly double St Kilda’s median house price of $1.02 million, Domain reported on Tuesday.
