Celebrity stylist shares his five spring fashion ‘essentials’ – and the ‘rule of three’ that will ensure you look put together every time
- Paul Versace is the Australian stylist behind Styled by Bloom in Melbourne
- His latest collaboration is a celebration of spring and trans-seasonal dressing
- FEMAIL spoke to Paul about what his ‘core’ springtime outfits would be
- He always tries to incorporate three colours into any outfit as a rule
The celebrity stylist behind Olivia Molly Rogers and Tayla Damir’s event looks has revealed his top tips for dressing in the springtime – and following the three colour rule.
Paul Versace, 30, just collaborated with Runaway The Label on a bold and bright collection of dresses, blazers and jumpsuits, infusing his expertise into the lines and cuts of the outfit so they suit every woman.
‘We were inspired to create a unique collection that could form a spring capsule wardrobe for the Runaway customer. Partnering with Paul allowed our design team to have first-hand feedback on key styles Australian women want and need in their wardrobe,’ founder of Runaway The Label, Prem Patel, said.
The Melbourne professional became a full-time stylist in 2019 because he enjoyed putting varied looks together and working in a fast-paced environment.

‘I liked being able to express my creative and unique vision with different clientele and brands,’ he told FEMAIL.
‘This collection is fun, bright and bold… perfect for spring. I was drawn to the whole concept of mixing different prints and silhouettes together.
‘The collection includes 36 versatile pieces. Each unique piece is inspired by my long-term clients and some of Australia’s most influential women in fashion.’
If he could only suggest five items be purchased for spring Paul would encourage his clients to opt for an oversized blazer, tailed pant, statement heel, core basics, and a day to night maxi dress.
‘For someone that is really tall, I would suggest a bold print or colour in a longer silhouette and for someone short I would suggest an outfit that accentuates their waistline and legs, when styling my clients, I always recommend a mini dress,’ he said.

‘This being said when styling a look I try to mix and match a max of three colours whether it be in the prints, block colours and accessories,’ he said.
‘Tying in your outfit with accessories to elevate your look is always my go to when trying to take an outfit to new heights.’
On particularly cool evenings he recommends layering pieces together, like a crop top and blazer, to ensure you’re staying warm.
Tying or knotting an oversized shirt to create a more suitable dimension for your size is also a key ‘hack’ Paul enjoys utilising.
