While some women pay thousands to go under the knife to look different, a Russian stylist is hoping to prove just how far a good hair cut and the right clothes can go when it comes to creating a whole new image.
Konstantin Bogomolov is an ‘image designer and fashion analyst’ who works with women of all ages and backgrounds at his Bogomolov Image school.
St Petersburg-born Bogomolov who is now based in Latvia draws on his knowledge of psychology to transform ordinary women based on what fits their profession and personality, and the results are astounding.
And Bored Panda has now revealed a set of his latest transformations, showing how a simple visit to the hairdresser and a new outfit can work wonders.
Accountant Lidia, 43, looks unrecognisble as she sports a dark short hair cut. Stylist Konstantin Bogomolov from Latvia draws on his knowledge of psychology to transform ordinary women
Una, 46, has ditched the grey locks for a warmer hue taking years off her, while earthy green and mustard shades also brighten up her skin tone
34-year-old Anna was given a glamorous transformation with a new sleek bob and side parting
His clients look almost unrecognisable after he changes their hair, devises a new makeup regime and styles them in a perfectly put together outfit based on their profession and personality of each woman.
Describing himself as the ‘number one stylist in Latvia’, Bogomolov has an Engineering Science Doctorate degree in clothing and technology and design and has given courses on culture and art history, psychology and public relations.
Bogomolov has worked with fashion magazines and TV programmes in Latvia and as an image consultant in beauty salons, prepared fashion shows and been hired by individual clients to help develop their style.
On his website, Bogomolov says he sees an ‘orderly logical system’ in the ‘chaos of modern styles and trends’.
And it seems his quirky approach is working as the before and after results of his clients show a dramatic difference.
The women all range from their 20s up to their 60s and the pictures show their transformation after Bogomolov has worked his magic, with many looking years younger.
