The results were eye opening – and often eye watering as well – particularly when it came to the anonymous ‘confessions’ section.

‘When my husband and I first got together we both lived at home with our parents so finding a place to have sex was pretty much impossible,’ one woman said.
‘So we used to go to a cafe that had a secluded disabled toilets adjacent to it and get it on.’
Sometimes things bordered on illegal.
‘On the bonnet of a brand new Toyota MR2. In the grounds of a Roseville Public School… got sprung by a security guard with sniffer dogs… now THAT time I will never forget,’ one woman relayed.

For others, it was the thrill of seeing someone else entirely.
‘I’m having an affair. The sex is much better, more fun and kinkier with him. I’m much more confident in the bedroom with my lover than I am with my husband,’ a woman admitted.
While another said her sexual experiences where more tantalising with her ex-boyfriend.
‘The best sex was with my ex boyfriend. I am still loving him. Lots of time when I had sex with my partner, I visualise my ex. Also when I masturbate alone, watching porn, I often visualise my ex,’ they said.

Masturbation was a common topic, with some engaging in the saucy activity at work and other unusual settings to relieve menstrual cramps.
‘Perfect reason for a little self love or for my partner to give me a little hand every month,’ one lady joked.
Many were turned off by the idea of giving – or receiving – any form of oral sex because it ‘grossed them out’.
It wasn’t always the titillation of an affair that got women excited, with some finding satisfaction at home.
‘I went home with my husband the night I met him, after swearing I would never do that again,’ she began.
‘He made me come that night and it was the first time anyone had done that. Many times when I have considered leaving him, I have had to consider that I will never have sex with anyone else that is as good as the sex I have with my husband.’
