Sunrise host Natalie Barr left horrified by a shocking live TV gaffe

Sunrise host Natalie Barr is left HORRIFIED by a shocking live TV gaffe as a guest goes rogue during a wild segment with weatherman Sam Mac

Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and David ‘Kochie’ Koch were left speechless when a live cross with weatherman Sam Mac went off the rails on Wednesday.

Sam was interviewing performance art group Discordia at the Rising festival in Melbourne when one of the members, Will, made a strange remark about ‘anuses’.

Describing the dancers’ sparkly outfits, which featured pink ring-shaped headpieces, Will said: ‘These creations are actually inspired by sea urchins and also giant, fluffy anuses…’

This bizarre comment left the Sunrise presenters reeling.

Back in the studio, Natalie covered her face in shock as Kochie mouthed ‘what?’ and fill-in newsreader Angie Asimus winced.

The hosts stifled laughter as Will went on to explain how sea urchins have anuses where their mouths should be ‘and also love Ricky Martin’.

A red-faced Sam Mac blurted out: ‘Oh! Who doesn’t like Ricky Martin?’

He sheepishly admitted he should have ‘asked that question’ before going live to air, then swiftly moved on to a weather update.

The on-air gaffe comes after a changing of the guard behind the scenes at Sunrise.
