‘I’m not sure this sounds very healthy’: Sunrise’s Samantha Armytage reveals her concerns about Adele’s dramatic weight loss – after signing a lucrative deal with WW

Samantha Armytage has aired her concerns about singer Adele’s recent dramatic weight loss.

Appearing on Wednesday’s Sunrise, the 43-year-old questioned whether Adele’s rumoured 45kg slim-down was done in a ‘healthy’ way, amid claims the British star followed a diet of ‘green juice and 1000 calories-a-day’.

‘I’m not sure this sounds very healthy,’ Samantha, who is an ambassador for WW (formerly Weight Watchers) said.

Speaking to health coach Samantha Jackson during the segment, the Sunrise host asked whether losing ’45kg in less than a year is ‘dangerous for a human’.

‘I mean, she makes her living out of singing. Is it dangerous for her voice?’ implored host Samantha.

Ms Jackson simply responded that she hoped Adele’s slim-down doesn’t affect her voice.

Despite asking several questions about Adele’s diet secrets, Samantha insisted that she isn’t fond of such discussions.

‘I don’t like talking about women’s weight, be whatever you want to be, as long as she is happy,’ she told David ‘Kochie’ Koch’.

Like Adele, Sam has undergone a dramatic slim-down in recent months after signing as a celebrity ambassador for WW last year.

In May last year, the blonde revealed she had already lost 10 kilos after just for months following WW’s program.

‘It’s not just about losing weight, it’s about a holistic approach to life and about maintaining weight which is the hardest thing for me to do as a shift worker,’ she told news.com.au at the time.

The TV star added: ‘I feel great, absolutely fantastic – don’t forget I get up at 3.15am so being a bit lighter and having more energy throughout the day really helps. It’s a nice feeling and I want to keep going.

Sam was rumoured to have signed a $500,000 deal to be the newest spokesperson, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
