Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been named the Super Bowl 2025 MVP after leading his team to a dominant championship victory.

The result was rarely in doubt as Hurts orchestrated one of the most lopsided Super Bowls in recent memory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hurts finished the game 17-of-22 passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

The quarterback also added 11 rushes for 72 yards and a touchdown on the ‘Tush Push’ in the first quarter.

Hurts winning Super Bowl MVP marks the first time a signal caller has won the trophy not named Patrick Mahomes since Tom Brady in 2021.

Hurts was the fifth quarterback in Super Bowl history to with multiple touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown after Ken Anderson, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, and Mahomes.

Hurts statistically had a better performance against the Chiefs two years ago in the Super Bowl in a losing effort. However, his second Super Bowl appearance comes with the result he always wanted on the field.

Hurts also became the third quarterback with a touchdown pass and a rushing touchdown in multiple Super Bowls alongside Montana and John Elway.

More to come.
