A super-organised mother-of-two has shared her incredible meal prep after spending hours in the kitchen cooking lunches for her school kids.

Tasha, from New South Wales, cooked up a week’s worth of food from scratch and then individually portioned them into plastic containers or zip lock bags so she could have all the ready-to-go meals on hand before the school run.

Her impressive creations include spaghetti bolognese, ham and cheese pockets, bacon and cheese rolls, sausage rolls, Vegemite pastries and banana choc chip cupcakes.

Besides the savoury meals, she also chopped up all the strawberries, watermelon, rockmelon, bananas and mangoes so her kids can enjoy fruit salads on the go.

‘Got my organised housewife on, back-to-school bake and lunch prep day,’ Tasha said in a Facebook group.

She prepared 11 servings of pasta, six containers of chopped fruits, 14 muffin cups filled with grapes, strawberries and mangoes and two containers of boiled eggs.

Her vibrant snaps show how she made 18 cupcakes, four bacon and cheese rolls, and about 28 savoury pastries.

She said she prepares the pasta for eldest son, who’s in high school, because he can heat it up in a microwave, provided in school while her youngest boy carries his meal in a food thermos.

The mother said she keeps all the baked savoury foods and cupcakes in the freezer and pulls them out the night before her kids to go school.

‘My kids like them defrosted, I normally pull pastries and cakes out night before and haven’t had a complaint,’ she said.

She also boiled eggs for her boys, which they normally consume all within two to three days, corn, and she chopped up all the cabanossi and cheese.

For snacks, she prepared fruit salads, banana-choc cupcakes and also mini savoury pastries

Tasha also divides the fruits into zip lock bags before freezing them, but usually pulls them out of the fridge the morning her kids go to school.

‘The fruit salad and container fruits will be eaten within two days,’ she said.

Many parents quickly praised the mother for her solid effort for keeping on top of all her children’s weekly lunches.

‘What a clever idea to freeze grapes and pineapple ready to go. No wastage of off fruit,’ one said.

One mother said: ‘That all looks awesome! I’ve only baked banana bread and banana cupcakes so far but I’m surprised how well they defrost. It’s my daughters first year of school so i haven’t had to do this before, thanks for the inspiration.’

And another ‘Well done, thanks for the inspiration and ideas.’
