Superfan Erin Seeherman has Taylor Swift-themed wedding

A Taylor Swift superfan got married last month at an entirely Taylor Swift-themed wedding — and the star herself has now offered up congratulations.

When Philadelphia-based sex therapist Erin Seeherman started planning her wedding to her now-husband Moshe Berman, she knew right away that her devotion to Swift would play into it.

Luckily, it wasn’t long after that Taylor started teasing her Lover album, and the pretty pastel aesthetic turned out to be the perfect inspiration for their nuptials.

Baby just say yes! Erin Seeherman married Moshe Berman in September and the wedding aesthetic was inspired by that of Taylor’s newest album, Lover

Erin is not actually a lifelong Swiftie, but it seems that when she falls, she falls hard. She’d always preferred indie music, and was surprised when she fell in love with every track from the 2014 album 1989.

Two years later, in September 2016, she was already working on her Halloween costume, a replication of one of Taylor’s outfits from the 1989 tour.

That’s when she met Moshe, who was smitten enough himself to start offering help on putting the costume together.

Over the course of their relationship, Moshe also grew into a big Taylor Swift fan, and has learned to play some of her songs on the guitar.

So it was only natural that on July 13, 2018, he popped the question at a stop on Taylor’s Reputation Tour, asking Erin to marry him while the song Call It What You Want played.

But the aesthetic of Reputation — moody and black with lots of snakes — wasn’t exactly great for a wedding.

‘When we got engaged, it was between eras and Reputation wasn’t necessarily the most wedding-appropriate of themes because it was heavy on darkness and snakes,’ Erin told Philadelphia magazine.

‘Early in 2019, though, she started dropping Easter eggs about what her new album aesthetic would be.

‘At that point, we didn’t know that the album would be called Lover, but we started seeing hearts and butterflies and rainbow colors. We squeezed as much as we could out of those little hints before the album dropped at the end of August. After that, we really had just a few weeks to infuse as much of Lover as we could into the event.’

The Lover theme was everywhere, as seen in photos by photographer Pat Robinson. Erin did her hair and makeup like the star, choosing a bold red lip to pop off her pale skin and blonde hair.

There was a rainbow flower wall, Swift-inspired embroidery, and butterflies hung from the ceiling.

Guests sipped blue and pink signature cocktails with names like False God and London Boy — two more Lover track names.

Erin confessed that the party playlist was at least 25 per cent Taylor, and videos she posted online show her and her friends dancing to ME!, You Need to Calm Down, and Holy Ground.

After the wedding, she posted several photos and videos on Twitter, which is how Taylor herself took notice. On November 6, she tweeted ‘CONGRATULATIONS!!!!’ with 13 hearts.

‘I never expected her to notice the efforts we had gone to,’ Erin told Billboard.

‘All the effort we put into the wedding we would have done regardless of whether we thought she might notice because we — my husband now too identifies as a huge Taylor Swift fan — are such huge fans so we were happy and excited to do this, but never really had that expectation that anything would come of it or that we would get noticed.’

Her husband even had Taylor tweet printed on a mug for Erin.

But the bride insists that Moshe isn’t making any scarifies by putting up with her obsession, despite what some people think.

‘People keep saying, “Oh, he’s a saint for putting up with you,” but he’s not putting up with anything,’ she said.

‘He enjoyed this immensely, and was not being dragged into anything. He had so much fun with it, and I think it made it that much more enjoyable for him that I was having fun with it.’
