Survivor hunk David Genat shocks fans with a VERY drastic new look – as he dyes his trademark golden hair peroxide blond

He’s the international model and Survivor star who is famous for his rugged good looks and luscious long locks.

But on Tuesday, David Genat – known often as the ‘Golden God’ – shocked fans by debuting a drastic hair transformation online.

The 41-year-old showed off his hair journey on Instagram, revealing he’d dyed his honey locks a white, peroxide blond.

‘So I’ve never put colour into my hair… ever,’ he said at the start of the clip, before adding: ‘I hope it works out okay!’

He then added a video of hairdressers working their magic on his long locks, showing the entire process from the initial bleach, down to toning and drying.

He then unveiled the finish result after hours in the chair – and appeared quite impressed with his new look.

‘And here it is!’ he exclaimed, before giggling at the camera. 

David started modelling in 2002, and has walked runways and appeared in campaigns for top labels such as Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren.

He was was the Sole Survivor of Australian Survivor: All Stars, which aired in 2020, and previously competed on Australian Survivor: Champions v Contenders in 2019.

David’s most recent television appearance was on Celebrity Apprentice.

He didn’t make it to the end, however, with Lord Alan Sugar firing him during a tense boardroom meeting following a viral video challenge.

With his quick firing, David admitted to being ‘super salty’ as he left the building.

‘This is not the result I wanted obviously. I’m a bit psycho when it comes to winning. I’m very salty. I’m super, super salty,’ he said.
