He was one of the more reserved competitors on reality series Australian Survivor.
But now Peter Conte has revealed to news.com.au what really goes on behind-the-scenes.
From becoming immune to any horrid smells and developing a fear of rain, the 22-year-old detailed life as a contestant in the Samoan jungle.

‘Everyone always asks who smelled the worst. To be honest I don’t know, and others don’t either. It doesn’t take long for your nose to ignore what I assume is the horrid smell that is us,’ Peter told the publication about the preconceived idea.
The digital advertising producer went on to note that contestants often develop a fear of rain.
‘We were almost always uncomfortably wet and when rain hit, the idea of being drenched and having no real way to dry yourself was on every contestant’s mind.’

Peter also divulged that stars were often on antibiotics, saying: ‘I definitely wasn’t the only one that freaked out over the idea of a small cut leading to an infection…many contestants had to go on antibiotics – including myself twice.’
The media professional also noted how the tribal torches are quite heavy, and how sunscreen and insect repellent are allowed in the jungle.
Peter’s comments come shortly after he recalled to OK! magazine, the very cheeky moment Aaron ‘AK’ Knight tried to kiss him during the show.

Peter said there had been a very cheeky moment between him and AK that never made it to air.
The controversial contestant known for his big moves on the series, jokingly attempted to smooch Peter during the show.
‘I celebrated my birthday on the island and AK tried to give me a sneaky kiss,’ Peter revealed.
But Peter did not return the affection, laughing as he recalled he had ‘recoiled’ when AK tried to kiss him.
