Suspected fare dodger slaps London Tube worker in the face and kicks him in the stomach after ‘forcing his way through barriers without a ticket’

  •  A TFL worker at Bounds Green tube station has been attacked by a fare-dodger

  •  British Transport Police have released CCTV footage in hopes of identifying him

CCTV released from British Transport Police (BTP) has captured the shocking moment a TFL employee is attacked after stopping a fare-dodger.

The attack, which happened on the 29th of June 27th around 9:30pm, the CCTV has been released in a bid to find the attacker.

The hooded man approaches the worker after being stopped at the barriers. The two appear to speak briefly before a fight ensues.

The unidentified man pounces at the worker who is stood behind a steel chair, latching onto him, clawing at his face.

Members of the public quickly rush to stop the attack, as a young woman in a beige mac tugs at the assailant.

She is quickly joined by two other men, one who appears to be another worker for TFL.

The hooded man lunges at the TFL worker, quickly pinning him against the tube station’s wall

The fight continues as the man slaps, punches and kicks at the worker in the orange vest.

He delivers a frantic series of blows, battering the worker against the walls of Bounds Green tube station.

The fight is eventually brought to an end by the huddle of people trying to prevent the man being injured any further.

After a struggle, the man is pulled away from the worker before he leaves the scene, police have yet to identify him

BTP have said the second boy to intervene, wearing grey was actually with the suspect. He is not being treated as a suspect. Officers would like to speak to him to gain his witness account.
