Suspicious shooting DOORS away from where woman was seen in video half naked ringing doorbells

The sheriff’s department is investigating a suspicious shooting incident in the small Texas neighborhood where a woman was seen frantically ringing doorbells around 3am Friday.

ABC13 is reporting that Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department is only allowing people who live in the Sunrise Ranch neighborhood to enter, as they are currently investigating Wednesday’s suspicious shooting incident at a home just houses away from where the woman was seen on surveillance video half naked and without shoes on, ringing a resident’s bell.

Some neighbors said they heard screaming and glass breaking during the incident Wednesday. It is unclear if this is connected in anyway to the haunting video of the woman looking like she was in need of help, with possibly broken restraints on her wrists, in the early morning hours of Friday.

Additionally the local ABC affiliate is reporting that there is crime scene tape around a home on the block.

The chilling video captured the attention of police in Texas showing a woman who appears to be in need of help, ringing doorbells in the middle of the night with restraints on her wrists.

The woman is seen on resident Jennie Drude’s security camera, who shared the video to Facebook and with police. The woman seems to be walking quietly up to the door of the home with what appears to be some sort of restraints on her wrists, with no pants or shoes on.

The woman was ringing doorbells in the Sunrise Ranch area of Montgomery, Texas at around 3am on Friday August 24, but by the time the residents reached their doors, the woman was gone.

As the woman rings the doorbell she appears to look down the block nervously, as if she fears being discovered.

In the short clip the woman is seen emerging from behind a bush, she seems to be trying to be quiet, and she reaches for the doorbell.

There appears to be what may be restraints on her wrists. Drude described the woman as appearing to be out of breath from what she could see on her home’s surveillance video.

One woman from Nevada says she believes the woman in the video may be her sister.

Rachael Denison tells DailyMail.com that her sister, Caitlin Denison, 19, who went missing in January, was one or two months pregnant when she disappeared. The woman in the video appears to possibly be pregnant.

Caitlin told her family she was flying from her hometown of Reno, Nevada, to Midland, Texas, with a man she had just met. Her family doesn’t know his name, and the last thing Caitlin told her sister was ‘This guy makes me scared for my life.’

In a review of the surveillance footage released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, her sister says she believes she has identified Caitlin’s various tattoos.

Another resident, who did not want to be identified, told Click2Houston, ‘We were dead asleep in our beds. My husband was woken up by doorbell ring. It rang probably 20 to 30 times.

By the time her husband answered the door, no one was there.

‘He walked outside no one was in sight. It’s like she disappeared in thin air,’ the resident said.

‘It was kind of scary because this girl looked like she was just in a shirt. She looked like she had wrist restraints on her wrist and she was barefoot. You can see her with a worry on her face looking around,’ the resident said.

She rang on at least five residents’ doorbells in the area.

No one in the tiny community recognizes her from the neighborhood.

Police canvassed the area and went door-to-door to speak with residents. They are also reviewing other security footage from the area.

The area surrounding the rear of the small neighborhood is densely wooded.

Law enforcement canvassed the neighborhood, conducted a door-to-door check interviewing residents, and is currently reviewing surveillance camera footage from the area, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

As of Tuesday morning, the Sheriff’s office tells DailyMail.com ‘We have nothing new. Detectives are currently investigating. We have not confirmed the identity of the woman.’

The Sheriff’s office did not reply to numerous follow-ups Wednesday regarding the possibility of the woman in the video being missing 19-year-old Caitlin Denison.

‘Numerous citizens in the state and outside have sent missing persons flyers suggesting the women in the video is a missing person from their area’ the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said, according to ABC News.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is calling on anyone with information about the woman to contact them at 936-760-5800.
