Swordfish are found across the world in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans as well as in the Mediterranean sea.

As they are extremely popular in seafood dishes, they have been overfished for decades.

According to a WWF report, fishermen are catching twice the level of sustainable fish, and too many juvenile swordfish who have not yet reproduced.

Evia is the second largest Greek island and is a popular summer holiday destination.
