Sydney Trains has announced delays to T4 services in both directions, while a train shuttle service is operating between Sutherland and Cronulla, and Sutherland and Waterfall.
Trains have also been cancelled in both directions at Penthurst.
Not everyone is sympathetic to the cause of the delays, however, with one disgruntled passenger taking to social media to urge that Sydney Trains resume its service post haste.
‘Move them out of the way and let’s get the train moving FFS,’ wrote the Twitter user.
‘It is a fatality. It’s a crime scene,’ another user tweeted back, to which they replied: ‘Take some photos then before moving them.’
More to come.
