Sydney food truck catches on fire in Darling Harbour in front of onlookers

Fire breaks out along Darling Harbour with thick plume of smoke rising from popular tourist hotspot in Sydney

A food truck has caught on fire, sending a thick plume of smoke into the air in Sydney.

Emergency services were called to the site of the fire in Darling Harbour at 11:48am on Sunday.

Footage sees smoke billowing out of the food truck – understood to be a nachos stand – in front of onlookers.

Firefighters are at the scene trying to extinguish the blaze.

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia that officers were also on-site helping with traffic. 

Police are not treating the fire as suspicious.
