A busker has been charged with sexually assaulting a young girl he lured into his boarding home with the offer of a drink.

Glenn Ian Morrison, 52, allegedly approached the 13-year-old at Manly, on Sydney’s northern beaches, on Monday and struck up a conversation.

Morrison, a guitarist, allegedly took the girl back to his unit in Rosebery, in the city’s east, on public transport.

Police allege that Morrison then raped the girl.

At one point during their 45-minute journey, Morrison was quizzed by a passenger about how he knew the girl, police allege.

He allegedly told the person she was his daughter.
