A furious mother has slammed an ‘entitled’ driver who blocked her car by parking their luxury BMW halfway across her ‘parents with prams’ space.

The woman had spent the day shopping at Birkenhead Point, in Sydney’s inner west, with her elderly mother and children on Sunday.

But when she returned to the shopping centre’s car park, she was horrified to find a BMW 125i convertible completely blocking one side of her Hyundai Tucson SUV.

The mother hit back at the driver, using red lipstick to write a large note on the windshield that read: ‘You are not supposed to do this. Respect’.

‘I know it is busy times but I am making the call to respect others more than ever, some of us make huge effort to do Xmas shopping, carrying around babies and in this opportunity an elderly person,’ the mother added in a post on Facebook.

She said she was lucky her mother was there and was able to look after her kids as she squeezed into the driver’s seat and reversed the car.

Other mothers were quick to slam the driver, saying the spots were larger because parents needed the extra space to move their prams in and out of the car.

One woman said she would have called the shopping centre’s management, while another labelled the offending driver a ‘jerk’.

‘Regardless of whether the spot was a pram spot or a regular car spot. Blocking another driver in like this is very rude. They’re lucky all they got was an extra large note on their car,’ one person said.

‘No words for this level of entitlement,’ another added.

Others questioned how the mother would have been able to get her children out of the car, saying it was a ‘selfish act’.

Another dispute over a ‘Parent with Prams’ parking space unfolded in October this year at a shopping centre in Cairns, Queensland.

One mother was allegedly spat in the face and pushed into a car after she confronted another woman about parking in a space for parents despite having no pram.

The woman threatened to damage her car and the incident was reported to police.
