The crash caused three lane closures on the bridge and held up traffic in both directions.

A five-year-old boy and three-year-old girl were in the car at the time of the alleged crash.

The woman has since been arrested.

The incident happened as the city was struck with wild thunderstorms and lashed with rain, causing widespread traffic and travel delays.
