Nine young girls will testify against a swimming coach accused of sexually assaulting them during lessons at an elite Sydney pool.

Kyle James Henk Daniels, 21, is awaiting trial on 26 charges including multiple counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10, at the Mosman Swim Centre last year.

The Downing Centre District Court heard on Monday that nine girls, aged from six to 11, will give evidence as part of the trial.

Prosecutors and Daniels’ defence lawyers will conduct pre-recorded hearings which will later be played before the jury.

The former Knox Grammar prefect will return to court next month to be arraigned on the 26 charges.
