- Kyle Daniels, 20, was teaching at the Mosman Swim Centre at the time
- The former Knox Grammar School prefect is facing 36 charges and ten AVOs
- Police ask court for more time to go through ‘thousands of pages of evidence’
- Daniels has not entered a plea to the charges and remains on strict bail
Thousands of pages of evidence have been gathered in the case against a young swimming coach charged with sexually assaulting 10 little girls, a court has been told.
Kyle Daniels, 20, appeared in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday where police asked for more time to prepare the ‘large’ brief of evidence.
Daniels, a former Knox Grammar School prefect, is facing 36 child sex charges against 10 girls he taught at Mosman Swim Centre in 2018 and early 2019.
‘This is a complex matter with ten complainants and thousands of pages of evidence,’ the police prosecutor said.

Daniels was supported in court on Thursday by his parents as the case was adjourned for three weeks so police could trawl through ‘thousands of pages of evidence’
Daniels was supported in court by his parents when the case was adjourned for three weeks. He did not speak to waiting media as he left the building.
His lawyer Todd Alexis has previously told the court Daniels strongly denies the allegations.
Police allege Daniels had sexual intercourse with two girls – aged six and seven – at the swim centre.
He is also accused of sexually assaulting eight other girls multiple times ‘in and around the pool’ between January 2018 and March 2019.
Daniels, who is studying sports science at the University of Sydney, is also facing ten Apprehended Violence Orders which police took out on behalf of the alleged victims.

Court documents said Daniels’ alleged offences began in January 2018, with the indecent assault of a ten-year-old girl.
He is also accused of having sexual intercourse with a seven-year-old girl eight times in three weeks.
Daniels, who is currently on strict bail conditions, will face court again at the end of August.
