Australia’s celebrity and political elite turned up in droves for the very first Street Side Medics Gala event in Sydney on Friday.
Hosted by Young Australian of the Year 2022 Dr Daniel Nour at Crown Sydney, the gala aims to raise awareness and funds for the non-profit Street Side Medics.
Former foreign minister Julie Bishop, Ben Fordham, Richard Wilkins, NSW Premier Domenic Perrotett and ex premier Gladys Berejiklian were among the A-list attendees.

Many of the celebrities arrived via ambulance to help the spread the word.
Fordham, 45, and Wilkins, 68, looked dapper in black tuxedos as they rubbed shoulders with politicians and celebrities.

The former foreign minister wore a sleek black dress from David Jones that highlighted her trim and toned figure.
She added an edgy twist to the ensemble with a cropped black Dion Lee puffer jacket on top, which she most likely wore to keep warm in the cold winter weather.
The newly-single socialite’s short blonde hair was slicked back, and she accessorised with glamorous diamond earrings.

‘Friday night dress code: Black Tie with touch of street wear,’ she wrote on Instagram.
Ms Bishop’s ex David Panton allegedly dumped her over dinner in Sydney in July, putting an end to their eight-year relationship.
She was understood to have been ‘blindsided’ by the sudden breakdown of her relationship, sources close to the former politician said.

She was spotted mingling with Today show star Wilkins, but wasn’t seen with her successor Perrotett.
She seemed to enjoy the event, sipping on complimentary champagne as she rubbed shoulders with Sydney’s power players.
Former Bachelorette stars Luke McLeod and James Trethewie were two of the more surprising attendees at the star-studded event.

The pair haven’t appeared on The Bachelor franchise in years, but McLeod has found success in the wellness and meditation space.
Identifying a gap in the healthcare of vulnerable people in New South Wales, Dr Daniel Nour founded Street Side Medics in August 2020.
It’s a not-for-profit, GP-led mobile medical service for people experiencing homelessness.

With over 600 volunteers, and seven clinics across New South Wales, Street Side Medics has changed the lives of thousands of patients.
Furthermore, Street Side Medics has responded to national emergencies including the Lismore floods where Dr. Nour personally delivered a fully equipped medical unit to aid in the immediate recovery needs of the community, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic where hundreds of the states Homeless were provided with COVID-19 vaccines.
Since its inception countless patients have treated many communicable and non-communicable illnesses, dealt with neglected medical needs, and detected conditions that would otherwise have gone unnoticed. This includes diabetes, thyroid disorders, hepatitis C, HIV, heart disease and cancer.
